About Griffin Hughes

Griffin Hughes is a wellness professional with over 20 years of experience helping clients move, recover, and thrive. A certified strength and mobility personal trainer, certified massage therapist with physio background, an indoor cycling instructor and the founder of Griffin Hughes Wellness. Griffin specializes in making strength training accessible for all, with an approach that blends fitness, recovery, and community.

Griffin began building her business in 2008 with a mission to inspire healthier, stronger lives. While living in Southern California, she spent many years as a surfing instructor, all while in school and working hands-on in the wellness field as a massage therapist and in a physical therapy clinic. 

In 2015, Griffin became a mother—an experience she describes as the best thing that ever happened to her—and it only deepened her commitment to health and wellness. As a mom, she continues to be a powerful presence in the fitness community, leading by example and reminding other parents that prioritizing wellness isn’t selfish—it’s necessary. 

As an avid athlete, surfer, and adventurer, Griffin brings the lessons of movement, building mental and physical strength and travel into her work. Through her own experiences and passion for exploring the world, she loves to show just how possible it is for anyone to adopt foundational practices for a balanced lifestyle—even while navigating the inevitable storms of life.

When Griffin isn't "working", she’s soaking up family adventure. Her husband Morgan is also a surfer, athlete, and wrestling coach. Together with their son Alexander, they live a life full of wanderlust, snowboarding, surf, hockey and travel.
